MERAPI ERUPTION

Merapi eruption is one of big natural disaster which happened in Yogyakarta. This made everybody not only in Yogya but also in around of it (East Java) feel scared and they had to go to more save place. First save zone was in 10 KM from the top of Merapi. Then became 15 KM because the hot cloud reached the save zone in 10 KM. The natural disaster took place as long as one month, and till now still there are evacuees in Maguwo Stadium.

During the Merapi eruption, the thundering was heard reach more than 25 KM area like a thunderclap when rainy. This caused the door, window, and mirror in house shook.

The top of this is in Friday, the thundering was happened during 24 hours non stop from Thursday. At 1.00 A.M when all were sleeping, the hail and then followed by sand splashed all town of Yogya. Peoples in evacuates place in 15 KM were so panic, scared, and tried to run as far as possible to east. Many of them were grandpa, grandma, children, and woman didn’t use mask. They face were not sheltered anything at that time and they looked like a gray mummy. It caused when they were running to save place, there was rainy after the hail and made it became mud. In the morning, the volcanic dust covered Yogya. Many activities like school, office, and market were closed. Both towns and villages in Yogya saw like died town, maybe looked same when Palestina was bombed by Israel. The plants and trees looked so pale because there were many dust in its leaves. But if in dangerous zone, they died.

In tens thousand evacuate scattered in many place. Unfortunately, many peoples in other town gave their hands. It’s much helped evacuates to fill their needs. Because of it they save and got food enough.

Lingkaran es fenomena yang sangat jarang sekali terjadi di air yang bersuhu dingin. lingkaran-lingkaran es besar ini dapat ditemui di skandinavia dan Amerika utara.
